Friendship Tea Recipe

1/2 cup instant tea,
1 cup sweetened lemonade mix,
1 cup Tang,
1 tsp. ground cinnamon,
1/2 tsp. ground cloves,

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in a an airtight container. To serve, put 2 to 3 tsp. mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Adjust amount of mix to taste.

Similar feelings in My Father's Ties

In a very purposeful way.... I tenderly sewed, and made visible the Rothchilds & Emmer Brothers labels -- the stores from which my daddy bought the ties.  For black folk of the 60's & 70's == that was hard earned money (sometimes a well-deserved Church Anniversary money gift) that afforded such!

Hung quickly over the fence at OESC today.... picked up from by quilt-guy Bill Crye. Remarkably, he said he is 78 yrs old.....

Old and unusual ~ ~ an 24-patch Quilt

This is the first time I've ever seen this pattern.... reminds me of the Quilter's of Gee's Bend... the old black woman -- my perfect grandma... said sometimes u look at a wall, and the Lord gives you something to work with... and u make a quilt...... quilts don't have a name... just a quilt! Quilt!

Sis Madene... I took her thru the Orientation Class of St John over a year ago... My favorite friend.... brought me a stack of her mother's quilts....... the yellow and green remain bright - not faded....
