Wonderfully satisfied, and pleased to make new friends at the 3rd Black History Quilting Exhibit on Saturday, Feb 7th, 2009: sponsored by the Rudisill Library in Tulsa, OK.
Over 18 quilts displayed.45 or so guests: audience participation was great with raffle drawings for quilted tote bags&book....and a Show N Tell of their work or their family heirlooms and stories. (More to follow.....) There were several show-stoppers.... and our President is a hit in stitches. My friend Lola Jenkins graciously supplied her superb talent in the quilted image of Mr. Obama.... and a guest cleverly used jean patches with embroidery and democratics fabric to celebrate the #44 USA Obama!
